Resources Overview
Resources are the core of ResponderOne. They contain your department's policies, protocols, documents, and contact information organized in a hierarchical menu structure.
How Resources Work
Resources are organized into a menu structure that your team members can navigate:
- Pages act as folders you can navigate into to view additional resources
- Sections are headed groups that organize items on the same screen
- Documents are PDFs your team can view
- Links point to external websites
- Contacts hold phone numbers, email addresses, an address, and notes for a person or organization
See Resource Types for details on each type.
Draft vs. Published
Resources have two states:
Draft
- Only visible to users with resource-management permissions
- Used for building and editing content
- Changes don't affect what members see
Published
- Visible to all team members
- Accessible in the mobile app
- Updated when someone with publish permission publishes changes
Viewing Resources
All team members can view published resources:
- Navigate to Resources in the sidebar
- Browse the hierarchical menu — click a page to open it
- Click on documents, links, or contacts to view them
Managing Resources
Users whose role grants resource permissions can manage resources:
- Navigate to Resources under the Entity Management section of the sidebar
- Use the resource builder to add, edit, and organize content
- Publish changes when ready
See Managing Resources for detailed instructions.
