Dashboard Overview

Understanding the ResponderOne dashboard interface.

note

In some dashboard labels your department is called an entity — for example, the "Entity Management" section of the sidebar.

The dashboard has two main areas:

Located on the left side of the screen. The logo at the top links back to your starting page, and the sidebar footer has a Help & Support link.

My Account — available to everyone:

  • Home - Department overview with member, resource, and document counts plus quick actions. Shown only if your role includes management permissions; everyone else starts on Resources
  • Resources - Browse your department's published resources
  • Settings - Your personal profile and sign-in settings

Entity Management — items appear based on the permissions your role grants, so you may see some, all, or none of these:

  • Resources - Build, edit, and publish the resource menu
  • Documents - Upload and organize your department's file library
  • Dosage Calculator - Configure medications, patient sizes, and protocols (only for departments with this feature enabled)
  • Members - Invite and manage team members
  • Roles - Create roles and set what each one can do
  • Settings - Department name and logo

Top Header

The header contains:

  • Breadcrumbs - Show where you are; click an earlier crumb to move back up
  • Theme toggle - Switch between light and dark mode
  • User menu - Shows your name, role, and department logo. Open it to reach Settings or Sign Out

User Roles

Every department starts with two built-in roles:

Member

  • View-only access to published resources, documents, and pages
  • Access the mobile app

Admin

  • Full access to all features, including:
  • Manage and publish resources
  • Invite and manage team members
  • Configure department settings

Administrators can also create custom roles with granular permissions — for example, a role that can edit resources but not publish them. See Roles & Permissions.

Mobile Navigation

On smaller screens, the sidebar collapses into a mobile menu accessible from the header. Tap the menu icon to open the sidebar and access all navigation options.
